The Nigeria Certified Immigration Agent (NCIA) program is an initiative by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to regulate and professionalize visa advisory services. It certifies qualified agents who meet strict standards for ethical practices, training, and compliance with immigration laws.
You can verify an agent's certification status through:
- The official NIS website's NCIA verification portal
- Checking for their physical NCIA certificate (displayed in their office)
- Confirming their license number matches our registry
Warning: Never use uncertified agents to avoid fraud risks.

Note: All fees are non-refundable.
NCIA certification is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. Agents must:
- Apply for renewal at least 30 days before expiration
- Submit an annual activity report
- Attend a mandatory refresher training course
- Pass compliance audits
The NIS imposes strict penalties for violations:
- First offense: Fine up to ₦5M + mandatory retraining
- Repeat offenses: 3-month license suspension
- Fraudulent activities: Immediate revocation + legal prosecution
